POW Fest), the premiere showcase for international independent films made by women, is currently accepting film submissions of any length, style, or genre, directed or co-directed by women. Spanning May 15th-18th and held at Portland, Oregon’s historic Hollywood Theatre, POW Fest will exhibit women-made movies, host several exciting and inspiring workshops and panels, and create an expo of women-owned and served businesses. In addition, the festival will feature a retrospective of award-winning director Allison Anders’ (Gas Food Lodging, Grace of My Heart) work. Anders will also be joining us as this year’s Guest of Honor.<br /><br />Young Filmmakers (under 19 years old) may submit their film free of charge.<br />Student Filmmakers currently enrolled in school are eligible for discounted submission fees.
